Week 11 Down 15

Well, here I am at week eleven of my twenty-five week diet plan. (fifty pounds in twenty-five weeks).

Happy to say I finally started to lose weight after being stalled for a few weeks. My goal was to be down by twenty-two pounds at this stage, but I am happy with fifteen.

So far, I have yet to play the exercise card, because I am lazy, but I am getting to the point where I feel like I want too.

The biggest change I have made is to eat smaller portions in general, and more fruits and vegetables in general. And beans, I love me some beans. Even for breakfast. Poached eggs over refried beans and I don’t miss the hash browns at all. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the potato, I live in Idaho for heavens sake, but I eat a lot less of them these days. I haven’t had any French fries in eleven weeks either and I used to eat them three or four times a week!

I did grate up a rutabaga last weekend and made hash browns out of it. I was surprised how it looked and tasted. It was actually good and has a lot fewer carbs and a lower GI then the spuds.

Any thing with my home raised chicken eggs is awesome. Huevos rancheros, with Oven fried bacon, is one of my new favorite breakfasts, replacing biscuits and gravy easily.

Well, hopefully I will be down 18 next week, as I have a little catching up to do.!
