How to build a greenhouse for under $250.00
Today I start the plan. I don’t really know what the finally cost will be, but I want a nice little greenhouse and I am cheap Bohemic, and will build my greenhouse for as little money as possible. The greenhouse, hoophouse, tall tunnel, will be about 7 to 8 feet wide and 12.5 feet long. It will be tall enough for me to walk in. ( over 5’9″ )
First off, ranch panels. AKA cattle panels. I picked up 3 panels for $18.99 each. So far $56.97. Whoo Hoo, under budget!
Here is how you get 16 foot wire panels home using a pickup with a 6.5 foot bed. The friction holds them in really good front to back, but not side to side. TIE THEM DOWN. Think tall jello shots! They will start a wobblin and tip over the side if you don’t. ( No, it didn’t happen to me, but I am ok by learning from other peoples mistakes. On this anyway, some mistakes I like to make myself. )
It already looks like a greenhouse, only smaller and with no greenhouse plastic. More to come as the days get longer.
