Is One24 the Real Deal?

If you are considering joining the newest MLM business on the blog, One-24, then look no further for an expert review. I will tell you the inside scoop about ownership, the product, the unique compensation plan, cost, plus how you can recruit both offline and online with One-24. This way, you can decide if it’s the business for you!

Ownership

One-24 is the brainchild of Mark Seyforth, who helped to launch Herbalife (you’ve heard of them, right) back in 1980. He is also the same guy who built a 100 million dollar company while he was still in his 20′s. I’m not writing that out of jealousy, but more out of respect. Mark obviously knows what he’s doing. I don’t know Mark personally, so I Googled him and have not found anything bad, which really is a very positive sign. Someone who has been involved in MLM for over 30 years would normally have some detractors!

Product

Although I believe that there will be more products coming, currently the 1 product that will be available at launch is NatraBurst, a powerful “super food blend”, that is basically a concentrated blend of vegetables, fruits and proteins for a healthier lifestyle. Typical MLM type product? Maybe. The difference here is that the monthly auto-ship for the product is $60, less than most MLM’s charge. You are only required to purchase 1 unit per month.

One-24 Compensation Plan

The compensation plan looks unique and is being referred to as IRP-Incentivized Referral Plan for Linear Compensation. Basically, you get paid off of your direct referrals as well as everyone who joins the business after you. The site says that you don’t have to recruit people onto your team to earn but we all know better! One important fact mentioned in the video is that the company is paying out 50% of profits, as opposed to the typical 24-40% paid out by most MLMs. If this is true, what this means is there will be more money to go around…and not just to the top producers.

How To Recruit

As with any MLM, you make money by recruiting others into your business. While any business will advertise that “you don’t even have to recruit to make money!”. I will tell you right now that’s not true. To make money with One-24, you will need to recruit paying members. The unique “twist” with One-24 is that you can just ask people to visit your site and if they are interested, “You will put them on your waiting list”. What? Anybody can do that, can’t they? The fact is not everyone who joins One-24 will even do that (it’s amazing but true) but I think that more people can do this than can do more conventional MLM recruiting. You can use this recruiting strategy offline with your warm market or online.

The Bottom Line

I do not believe that One-24 MLM is a scam. By all accounts, Mark Seyforth is a stand-up marketer and business owner. The compensation plan looks unique and potentially very lucrative, if you able to recruit other marketers to your team. The product looks typical MLM but at least the monthly auto-ship is less expensive than most. Time will tell if One-24 sticks around for the long term, but it appears to offer the serious marketer a chance for success.

Week 13 – Down 17

I had hoped to lose 2 pounds a week but that doesn’t seem to be working out for me. I should be down 26 pounds at this point, but I am only down 17 pounds.

I guess it is time to play the exercise card. I will start out slow so I don’t kill myself and see if that speeds up the weight loss. This mild winter and hopefully a early spring should help with the walking part of my exercise plans. If not there is always the treadmill!

Week 11 Down 15

Well, here I am at week eleven of my twenty-five week diet plan. (fifty pounds in twenty-five weeks).

Happy to say I finally started to lose weight after being stalled for a few weeks. My goal was to be down by twenty-two pounds at this stage, but I am happy with fifteen.

So far, I have yet to play the exercise card, because I am lazy, but I am getting to the point where I feel like I want too.

The biggest change I have made is to eat smaller portions in general, and more fruits and vegetables in general. And beans, I love me some beans. Even for breakfast. Poached eggs over refried beans and I don’t miss the hash browns at all. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the potato, I live in Idaho for heavens sake, but I eat a lot less of them these days. I haven’t had any French fries in eleven weeks either and I used to eat them three or four times a week!

I did grate up a rutabaga last weekend and made hash browns out of it. I was surprised how it looked and tasted. It was actually good and has a lot fewer carbs and a lower GI then the spuds.

Any thing with my home raised chicken eggs is awesome. Huevos rancheros, with Oven fried bacon, is one of my new favorite breakfasts, replacing biscuits and gravy easily.

Well, hopefully I will be down 18 next week, as I have a little catching up to do.!

How to build a greenhouse for under $250.00

Today I start the plan. I don’t really know what the finally cost will be, but I want a nice little greenhouse and I am cheap Bohemic, and will build my greenhouse for as little money as possible. The greenhouse, hoophouse, tall tunnel, will be about 7 to 8 feet wide and 12.5 feet long. It will be tall enough for me to walk in. ( over 5’9″ )

First off, ranch panels. AKA cattle panels. I picked up 3 panels for $18.99 each. So far $56.97. Whoo Hoo, under budget!

Here is how you get 16 foot wire panels home using a pickup with a 6.5 foot bed. The friction holds them in really good front to back, but not side to side. TIE THEM DOWN. Think tall jello shots!  They will start a wobblin and tip over the side if you don’t. ( No, it didn’t happen to me, but I am ok by learning from other peoples mistakes. On this anyway, some mistakes I like to make myself. )

It already looks like a greenhouse, only smaller and with no greenhouse plastic. More to come as the days get longer.

Oven “Fried” Bacon

I have heard about this for years, but never tried it until recently. This is the only way to cook bacon. I wish I had started cooking it this way decades ago.

Get some good thick bacon.

Cover a baking sheet with foil and lay your bacon on the sheet.

Put the baking sheet with the bacon in a cold oven then turn the oven on to 400 degrees.

After about 15 minutes start checking the bacon closely. It can burn fast if you don’t watch it.

Thicker bacon takes longer than thinner bacon of course.

Eat!

Week 8 – Down 12

I am getting behind in my updates. I will fill the the necessary info as I make some time.
Well, I am happy to say that I am starting to drop a few pounds after being stuck for a couple of weeks. I blame Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I am behind in my goal of losing two pounds a week now by four pounds. So maybe I can try and lose three pounds a week for four weeks and get back on track. Feeling better, clothes are getting baggy, I might even start exercising!
I am currently making a list of foods that are helping me lose weight. Foods that I eat almost everyday. Hopefully, I will get the list completed and posted this weekend.

Homemade Baked Beans

These beans are very good and they have less sugar then a lot of baked bean recipes.

Ingredients

Directions

Heat oven to 250 degrees F.

Soak beans in a glass or plastic container overnight in water. Cover the beans with about 1 inch of cold water.

Place your bean pot or cast iron dutch oven over medium heat and put in the ham shanks (bones, skin and diced meat), onion, and peppers and cook for about 5 minutes, until the onions are soft. Stir in the tomato paste, dark brown sugar, and molasses.

Drain the beans and put them in your pot. Add the chicken broth and and bring to a boil. Add the vinegar, cayenne, black pepper and salt. Stir everything well and then cover with the lid. Place in the oven for 6 or 7 hours, or until the beans are done.
